Round Rock
The centrally located city of Round Rock is among the fastest-growing cities in Texas. Nicknamed the “Sports Capital of Texas,” Round Rock gained popularity for its nationally recognized sports facilities, fields, and teams. Nestled in Travis and Williamson Counties, the city got its name from a huge, circular rock in the middle of Brushy Creek.
WHAT TO LOVE
Kid-friendly outdoor attractions. Spend the day at Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park where families can play disc golf and cricket, swim in Rock N’ River, and enjoy all of its seven playgrounds that feature unique playscapes. Children of all ages will love Play For All Park which caters to all young residents including those with disabilities. There’s also the Kalahari Resort, one of the largest indoor and indoor and outdoor water parks in the country. If you are looking for a local team to support, The Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express baseball team.
Buzzing business districts. Startups rise and major companies relocate to Round Rock Top employers in Round Rock include Amazon, UPS, and Dell.
Lively shopping, dining, and nightlife scenes. Eccentric boutiques, designer stores, highly-rated restaurants, and sensational bars line the streets of Round Rock and Pflugerville. Round Rock Premium Outlets, Round Rock Donuts, and Hoot & Annie are among the must-visits in Round Rock. Another great spot to try is Misaki Ramen and Boba which serves up heartwarming noodles and delicious cold boba tea drinks.
Then there’s the BBQ. Many states claim to have the best BBQ, but we’d put Texas BBQ as the best you can get. If you are watching a game at the Dell Diamond, make sure to also visit The Salt Lick which is right next door.

Round Rock is currently at a buyer’s market, with houses priced between $250,000 and $3.3 million. Homes in both cities come in Spanish, Mediterranean, Hill Country, Craftsman, and Bungalow styles.
